Atlanta Op Love Story · Chesley + Trent

A few months ago I received the opportunity to become affiliated with Operation Love ReUnited.  Op Love is a non-profit, fully volunteer organization that offers professional photography sessions to military families and members who are getting ready to deploy, who are currently deployed, or those who are coming home.
Being a prior military wife, this program spoke volumes to me – it instantaneously brought back so many memories.
A few weeks ago, I received an email from Chelsey looking for a photographer for a homecoming session at the Atlanta airport.  Her love, Trent, was returning from a tour in Afghanistan and Chesley hadn’t seen him for 7 months.  Chelsey and I waited in the arrival lobby, trying to predict what entrance Trent would emerge from.  We were moved several times because we were too close to the “Do Not Enter” area.

After waiting for about 45 and being immersed in Chesley and Trent’s remarkable love story, he emerged and Chesley bolted into the “Do Not Enter”.  It was like their moment stood still in time, oblivious to the busy Atlanta airport.

Homecoming sessions last less than 3 minutes.  It’s all about documenting those first few moments of seeing each other.
Welcome back Trent!
